Evoking an era defined by all things “groovy,” this mesmerizing motion lamp is made of glass features molten wax floating in liquid over an aluminum base, and has been a vintage favorite, from living rooms to dorm rooms, for decades. Over the years, the Lava Lamp evolved, offering different colors of lava, but the classic silver-colored base has remained. This lamp’s soft, soothing light helps you create a relaxing atmosphere and is an excellent conversation piece for your desk, dorm room or beach house, the Classic Lava Lamp measures 14.5h x 2'' diam., comes with a 15 watt bulb, and plugs into a standard power outlet.   After plugging in the Classic Lava Lamp, it will take approximately two to six hours for the lava to flow. It is recommended to only run the lam for eight to ten hours at a time. (Do not run it 24/7 continuously.) It should be placed away from sunlight and extreme heat (no more than 60°F). Please note that the lamp becomes hot to the touch when in use. Please use care when handling the lamp as the glass component is not attached to the aluminum base. Keep out of reach from young children.
